Progressive Alert System (PAS)

1121 100PM

The Progressive Alert System (PAS) scans the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA’s) continually streaming radar data to provides automated email and text message-based alerts for real-time alerts precipitation/high wind events nearby a facility.  These alerts of impending precipitation/high wind events may require necessary actions at the facility (i.e., spray additional water for dust suppression, cease options, etc.) and can be incorporated into ProControl.  Alerts are tuned for the intensity of precipitation events and the timing required to meet the needs of the Client

Email/text message alerts are sent prior to a weather event (precipitation as identified by radar echoes) reaching the facility, while another alert would be sent after the precipitation has cleared the area.  Alerts are fully automated and can be distributed 24/7.  Daily Probably of Precipitation (POP) and wind gust forecasts can be integrated and distributed, which may be of used for activity planning.
