Simpson Weather Associates' beginnings in the 70s started with projects in wind
energy, weather modification research, hurricane warning systems and the design and
operation of specialized surface weather observation networks. While expanding into
environmental consulting, SWA has continued to be active in basic atmospheric research and
applied meteorology through:
