Mars terrain is derived from the Mars Orbiter Laser Altimeter-MOLA (Zuber, M.T., et al.,1992) and is included in the GADS at the Mars Climate Database 5^ox5^o gridded resolution. Since the MOLA topography is referenced from the Mars Areoid, the AGM adjusted the MOLA terrain data by adding the lowest elevation point on Mars ,-7626.81 m, to the data (i.e. the lowest point becomes 0 m and the highest point is 28643.84 m)
